Squamish Days event organizers are prepared for the weekends events to go ahead as planned and local residents, who have always been strong supporters of the Loggers Sports Festival, will be sure to come out and enjoy the community event.
Events such as the Chair Carve, Bed Races, and Pancake Breakfast will not be affected at all, and other events such as the Children's Sports and Parade might simply be missing some participants from out of town.
Event organizers are currently trying to assist in making arrangements for out of town logger’s sports competitors to get to Squamish from Vancouver via water taxi, while many of the BC competitors live in the Interior and will be travelling to Squamish via the Duffy Lake Road.
