A one-of-a-kind celebration of logging’s legacy and the athletes who keep the craft alive. From towering tree climbs to lightning-fast saw races, every event honours the skill, power, and precision behind the sport that shaped this town.

Saturday’s show is your chance to get close to the action – with rising stars, local talent, and even junior competitors taking the stage in a fast-paced, family-friendly afternoon of loggers sports.

Sunday’s show is the marquee event – a packed stadium, world-class competitors, and high-stakes championship events like Springboard Chop and Tree Falling. It’s the biggest day of the festival, and a spectacle you won’t forget.

Costumes, floats, log trucks, and local flair. This beloved Sunday morning tradition rolls down Cleveland Ave after the Pancake Breakfast, with big smiles and even bigger community spirit.

Saturday night, under the open sky – 32 of the top axe throwers, with big prize money on the line. Bring a blanket, grab a spot on the lawn, and watch the axes fly at this high-stakes fan favourite.

Big fun for small humans – with face painting, mini golf, axe throwing (kid-safe!), music, bubbles, and more. Afterwards, head down to the Saturday Loggers Sports Show with the family!

Friday

Teams of five. Hospital beds on wheels. Downtown obstacle course. It’s as chaotic – and hilarious – as it sounds. Cheer for them as they race down Cleveland Ave on Friday evening.

The festival kicks off here on Thursday! Sample bold, house-made chili from local chefs, vote for your favourite, all while enjoying live music & cheering on the fiery Kettle Boil competition.

KETTLE BOIL

Thursday

Axes, cedar blocks, cans of soapy water, 3 matches, and the race to a roaring boil. Teams of two compete over open flames while the crowd cheers. It’s fiery, fast, and the perfect Thursday night festival kickoff.

You’ll smell it before you see it – the Rotary Beef BBQ Sandwich is a Squamish Days legend. For over 50 years, these slow-cooked, outside round roasts have been the star of the show (second only to the chainsaws).

Beef sliced hot and piled onto soft brioche buns, these sandwiches are served exclusively at the Loggers Sports Grounds on Saturday and Sunday – and yes, they always sell out. This mouth-watering tradition is proudly prepared by the Rotary Club of Squamish, one of the festival’s dedicated service groups and long-time community partners.

Sandwiches are served starting around 12:30 PM, and once they’re gone, they’re gone.

Pro Tip: Saturday’s show has smaller crowds and shorter lines – it’s your best shot at snagging one of these coveted treats.

The Kettle Boil is on hold for this year but the new format is sure to be a crowd pleaser. In between heats, enjoy live music on the patio from Tides Will Turn and cheer on your favourite competitors as the sun goes down.

Squamish was built on logging – and for nearly 70 years, Squamish Days has honoured that history with one of the most exciting and community-powered festivals in BC. What began as a gathering of local loggers has grown into a multi-day celebration of strength, skill, and the culture that helped shape this town.
